Pricing and Information
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. While we strive for 100% accuracy, the information on this website is subject to change without notice. In the event of a manifest error (such as an obvious pricing mistake), we reserve the right to cancel orders and provide a full refund. We will work to correct any inaccuracies as soon as they are identified.

Consumer Guarantees Act
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you are purchasing goods for personal or household use, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for any product that is not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or does not match the description.
Major Failures: If a product has a substantial failure, you are entitled to your choice of a refund or a replacement.
Minor Failures: For minor defects, we may choose to repair the item, replace it, or provide a refund at our discretion.

Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive an incorrect product or an item that is "dead on arrival," please contact us immediately. 4WDbits will meet its obligations under the CGA to remedy the issue. If an item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will cover the cost of return freight and the delivery of the replacement.

Branded Products and Warranties
4WDbits Branded Products: We warrant our branded products to be free from defects in material and workmanship when properly installed and used for their intended application. This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear.
Misapplication, improper installation, or alteration of the original design.
Abuse, negligence, or lack of proper maintenance.
Third-Party Products: For non-4WDbits branded items, manufacturer warranties apply. While these are managed by the manufacturer/distributor, 4WDbits remains your primary point of contact for any claims under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Returns and Re-stocking
Change of Mind: We are not legally required to provide a refund if you change your mind. However, if we agree to a "change of mind" return, the item must be in its original, unopened packaging. These returns are subject to a re-stocking fee of up to 15%, and original freight costs are non-refundable.
Faulty Goods: No re-stocking fees apply to goods returned due to a fault or being "not as described."

Delivery and Shipping
We do not deliver to Post Office boxes. Some items may be too heavy or oversized for rural delivery; in these cases, we will arrange for collection from the nearest freight depot. We reserve the right to decline delivery to addresses we cannot verify or deem suspicious. Please inspect goods upon arrival and contact us immediately if they have been damaged in transit.

Privacy and Security
Your personal information is collected solely for processing orders and communication. We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 and will not distribute your information to third parties unless required by law.
Payment Security: Credit card transactions are processed securely by our banking partner. 4WDbits does not store your credit card details.

Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, 4WDbits shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of revenue or business) arising out of the use or performance of any item. This limitation applies primarily to business-to-business transactions where the Consumer Guarantees Act has been specifically contracted out of in writing.

Business Use and Contracting Out
If you are acquiring goods for the purposes of a business (as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993), you acknowledge and agree that:
The provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply to the supply of goods by 4WDbits to you.
Sections 9, 12A, and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply to any representations made by 4WDbits in connection with the goods.
This "contracting out" is fair and reasonable, as both parties are in trade and have had the opportunity to negotiate these terms.
For business customers, our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the goods (at our choice) and specifically excludes any liability for loss of profit, loss of revenue, or any consequential or indirect loss.
